Professor Chiara Baldini is an Associate Professor of Rheumatology at the University of Pisa, where she leads clinical and academic activities within the Rheumatology Unit. She earned her MD with honors from the University of Pisa in 1999, followed by a Fellowship in Clinical Immunology and a PhD in Physiopathology and Pharmacology.

She pursued her residency in Internal Medicine at Barcelos/Esposende Local Health Unit and currently serves as Consultant in Internal Medicine at São João Local Health Unit, Porto.

Dr. Boncoraglio holds a Master’s degree in Systemic Autoimmune Diseases from the University of Barcelona and is an active member of the Autoimmune Diseases Clinic and the Multidisciplinary Team for Autoimmune Disorders at ULS São João. Her professional focus includes the management and investigation of complex autoimmune and systemic diseases within an integrated care framework.

Cabral, Pedro M. | Clinical Pathology, Porto

Dr. Pedro M. Cabral is a Clinical Pathologist at São João Local Health Unit (ULS São João, E.P.E.) and a PhD candidate in Metabolism – Clinical and Experimental at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Porto (FMUP). Professor Pasquale Capaccio earned his medical degree from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Rome and is currently Full Professor of Otorhinolaryngology at the University of Milan. He also serves as Senior Consultant in Otorhinolaryngology at Ospedale Fatebenefratelli – ASST Fatebenefratelli Sacco in Milan.

Professor Capaccio’s clinical and research interests focus on salivary gland disorders, minimally invasive surgery, and sialendoscopy, contributing to major advances in diagnostic and therapeutic approaches in ENT surgery. Professor Capaccio’s extensive publication record and teaching activity have established him as a leading figure in Italian and European otorhinolaryngology.

Fonseca, Tiago | Stomatology, Porto

Dr. Tiago Fonseca earned his medical degree at Lisbon University and completed his residency in Stomatology at Lisboa Central Hospital Center. He currently serves as Graduate Consultant in Stomatology at São João Local Health Unit, Porto. Professor Michael Koch is a Consultant in Otorhinolaryngology and Head & Neck Surgery at the University Hospital of Erlangen-Nuremberg, where he also leads the Endoscopy and Ultrasound Unit. He earned his PhD in 1996 from the Department of Experimental Surgery at the same university, focusing on gastrointestinal physiology. Following initial training in General, Visceral, Vascular, and Thoracic Surgery at the Universities of Erlangen-Nuremberg and Dresden, he joined the Department of ENT, Head & Neck Surgery at Erlangen in 1998, completing his specialization in 2003.

Professor Koch has served as Consultant since 2008 and, since 2016, as Professor at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. His clinical and research activities encompass salivary gland diseases, oncologic and reconstructive head and neck surgery, and endoscopic and ultrasound techniques. He is recognized for his pioneering work in sialendoscopy and its role in the diagnosis and management of obstructive salivary gland disorders.

Mano Azul, António | Stomatology, Lisbon

Professor António Mano Azul is a specialist in Stomatology dedicated exclusively to Oral Medicine and Oral Surgery. He is Associate Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Egas Moniz School of Health and Science, where he also coordinates the Postgraduate and Master’s Programs in Oral Medicine and Pathology. Additionally, he serves as Commissioner of the Portuguese National Health Plan 2030.

Professor Mano Azul is the Founder and Past President of both the European Association of Oral Medicine and the Portuguese Academy of Oral Medicine, and a recipient of the Pfizer Scientific Research Award. McGurk, Mark | Maxillofacial Surgery, London (United Kingdom)

Professor Mark McGurk qualified in Dentistry (1976) and Medicine (1984) at the University of Sheffield and was appointed Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Guy’s Hospital, London, in 1992. Since 2016, he has been part of the Head and Neck Unit at University College London (UCL), where he continues to advance innovative surgical techniques and clinical research.

Professor McGurk’s pioneering work has transformed minimally invasive head and neck surgery, including intraoral distraction osteogenesis, extracapsular dissection, and salivary gland therapy. Vissink, Arjan | Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Groningen (The Netherlands)

Professor Arjan Vissink obtained his dental degree in 1982 and completed his PhD in 1985. He qualified as an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon in 1996 and later received his medical degree in 1999.
