Greetings!
The salivary glands (SG) exhibit one of the widest varieties of nosological entities, whether of primary origin or resulting from systemic disorders or diseases. As in medicine in general, scientific evidence and technological advances in this field allow for improved diagnostic know-how and the introduction of new therapeutic methods.
Although the management of SG diseases spans multiple specialties, true understanding of the problems affecting these organs remains largely superficial.
With two independent parts — congress and course — Conference on Salivary Glands aims to both summarize fundamental concepts (basical component) and address common SG diseases (medical and surgical components), also inviting participants to explore salivary endoscopy (sialoendoscopy) using anatomical and animal models.
And as true knowledge comes from sharing and discussion experience and points of view, the event also includes the opportunity to present scientific papers.
Welcome,
Tiago Fonseca.
